Cheap-Cheap is a grocery price-comparison app for South African retailers. It is designed to need no account and no personal data.
None. The app does not require you to sign up or log in. We do not collect, store, or share any personal information, contacts, location, photos, or device identifiers. There is no analytics or advertising SDK in the app.
The app fetches publicly available, aggregated retail product prices from our backend and displays them on your device. Your search terms and shopping list stay on your device and are not sent to us or any third party.
If you submit the "notify me at launch" form on our website, we store the email address you provide (and your optional platform choice — iOS, Android, or either). We use it for one purpose only: to email you when Cheap-Cheap launches. We do not share, sell, or use it for anything else, and you can ask us to delete it at any time via g.mostertpot@gmail.com. The app itself still collects nothing.
The app retrieves price data from our hosted database (Supabase). These requests contain only the product query needed to return prices — no personal data.
The app is rated for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.
